Tammy manages the financial, advertising,
and general business practices at the clinic.
Ever so often she gets to answer the phones,
talk with the clients, and visit the animals in
the clinic. She loves being in business for
herself with her husband (Dr. Howard!) and
living in the beautiful state of Indiana! She
has 16 horses, 10 goats, a couple of dogs, a
couple of cats, and beaucoup (that's "many"
in French!) birds. Tammy has always been an
animal lover. She and Dr. Howard breed
Iberian Sport Horses that she trains and
shows. It is great fun and a tremendous labor
at the same time. The most important thing to
her, next to the health and well being of
herself and Dr. Howard, is the health and well
being of “The Animals”. Meaning all animals,
not just hers! It is Tammy's sincerest philosophy that “There is a reason for all things”. If an animal starts
acting, mmmm, lets’ say grouchy! Then there is a reason. In that they cannot speak “human”, we have to
use our higher intellect to determine their behavioral change. Tammy's Jack Russell Terrier, STINKER, is a
prime example. When he gets grouchy he is in some kind of pain or physical discomfort. They have “fixed”
his grouchiness by surgically repairing two very bad knees & giving him a tablet once/day for arthritis
pain. They have also discovered a very difficult to determine food allergy and there is only one food
company that makes a food that he can tolerate with his allergy problems. It has worked most charmingly.
The take home here is don’t give up trying to figure out what it is. Dr. Howard and Tammy are here to help
you understand what is going on with your beloved pet and determine what prognosis will put things right
again for both the animal and his family, YOU!!
